On Saturday 28th February 2026, PCSO Baker was flagged down by a concerned member of the public in King Edward VII Park, Wembley. A moped was being ridden at speed around the park, including on grassed areas and pedestrian footpaths, at a time when the park was busy with families and children.
The rider was stopped shortly after and admitted to using the moped off‑road in a way that was unsafe and causing alarm, distress and annoyance to park users.
As a result, a Section 59 Warning Notice (Police Reform Act 2002) was issued. This means:
We’re committed to keeping our parks safe for everyone. Thank you to the member of the public who reported the incident. If you witness dangerous or antisocial vehicle use, please get in touch.
In a separate incident today, two ASB Warning Notices were issued to individuals found street drinking and behaving in a rowdy and nuisance‑causing manner in public.
Additionally, a Community Protection Warning (CPW) is being drafted and will be issued tomorrow to a persistent offender involved in ongoing anti‑social behaviour.
We will continue to take action to ensure our public spaces remain safe and enjoyable for all.
