Theft of Motor Vehicle - Springfield Road

Dear Resident

A vehicle has been stolen on Springfield Road, Hemel Hempstead, between 13:30 and 15:30 of 27/02/2026.

Between the material times, offender(s) have accessed a parked grey Kia by means unknown, before stealing it. Footage shows a male in the area wearing a hoodie at approximately 13:30 with a black car.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox or a keyless signal can be received by relay devices.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bag and consider using additional trackers, steering wheel locks or ghost immobilisers.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.
