Community Engagement |
||
|
Today, myself and Sergeant Wright attended Jumu’ah (Friday prayer) at our local Muslim prayer hall, where we were warmly welcomed by the Imam and members of the congregation.
With Ramadan now underway, we recognise this is a deeply important and spiritual month for many within our community, a time of reflection, prayer, charity, and bringing people together. It was a valuable opportunity for us to listen, speak directly with worshippers, and strengthen the positive relationships we continue to build with the mosque and the wider community.
We had constructive conversations with the Imam about we can continue working together to support and engage with those who attend Friday prayers.
Engagement like this is important to us. Policing works best when it is built on trust, understanding, and open communication. We want our communities to feel comfortable approaching us, sharing concerns, and working in partnership to keep our neighbourhoods safe.
If you see us in the area, please do stop and say hello. We wish all those observing Ramadan a peaceful and blessed month.
Ramadan Mubarak. | ||
