Proactive Patrol – Off‑Road Bike

Whilst conducting routine mobile patrols in the rural area between Staplehurst and Marden, Local Beat Officers observed a pit bike being ridden along the road. This follows recent reports from local residents regarding off‑road bikes being ridden illegally and causing nuisance within the wider Staplehurst and Marden areas.

Officers conducted a stop of the vehicle. The vehicle due it being a Pit Bike, does not have a valid insurance on the road. 

As a result of the offence, the vehicle was seized and the rider was issued with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) for No Insurance.

This enforcement action forms part of ongoing proactive patrol activity aimed at responding to community concerns, tackling the illegal use of off‑road bikes, and improving road safety within local rural communities. We continue to urge the local community to report incidents to us.
