Patrols around Schools in Richmond

Hi everyone,

Last week myself, PC DAVENPORT and PCSO KHEDR have been patrolling in and around Schools in Richmond and Ham. Sadly a TikTok theme is being shared encouraging young people to bring weapons to school.

We have done patrols in and around Grey Court School in Ham street Richmond upon Thames and Christ's School Queens Road Richmond. These patrols are in place to help ensure the safety of students during school arrival, dismissal, and travel times.

To support the safety and wellbeing of all students, we kindly ask parents and carers to:

Speak with your child about avoiding confrontations, large groups, or known disputes.

Encourage your child to travel in groups where possible and to take well-lit, familiar routes.

Remind your child not to carry or share harmful content (messages, videos, or rumours) that could escalate tensions.

Report any concerns, threats, or suspicious behaviour to the school or local authorities immediately.

We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will maintain a visible presence where needed. Your cooperation and communication are essential in helping us keep all young people safe.
