We want to remind all plot holders to remain vigilant following a recent rise in overnight break‑ins at allotment sites in the Worcester area. Offenders have been targeting sheds and taking tools, equipment, and other valuables.

To help protect your shed and allotment, please consider taking some simple but effective crime‑prevention steps:

Avoid leaving valuables in sheds overnight wherever possible.

Fit strong locks and hasps designed for outdoor use.

Install motion‑activated or solar‑powered lighting to deter intruders.

Consider CCTV or wildlife cameras to monitor your plot and capture any suspicious activity.

Use shed alarms, including inexpensive battery‑powered models, for an extra layer of protection.

Mark tools and equipment with your postcode or a unique identifier.

Please remain alert when visiting your plot and keep an eye out for anything unusual. Any suspicious activity or crimes should be reported directly to West Mercia Police, and please also inform your site representative so others can stay aware.
