Good Morning Resident In JANUARY I ran my police surgery at THE BAPTIST CHURCH, CROW LANE, ROCHESTER. During this some community issues were raised and I would like to provide responses to these; Fly-tipping - I have since conducted a joint visit with the Environmental Enforcement Agency (EEA) whereby we attended locations surrounding ROCHESTER HIGH STREET where they have been episodes of fly tipping. Details have been taken and investigations are currently being undertaking my by the EEA.Pedal Cycles - I am currently having conversations with Medway Councils Community Safety Officers in relation to the pedal cycles on the high street.E-scooters - Medway Community Safety Unit ran a 3 day operation designed to tackle illegal bikes and road users. Over the past weekend 30 vehicles were seized from the roads and paths, this consists of e-scooters, pit bikes and Surrons.Rough sleepers/Homelessness - Rough Sleepers Initiative (RSI) have been doing fantastic work and ensuring that those that need accommodation have suitable accommodation for their needs. They work tirelessly to make sure those that are homeless have somewhere to go out of the weather. RSI work very closely with the Police and we work together to identify new persons that need accommodation and work with other partners to ensure they get the help and support that they need. Please come along to my next surgery which is tomorrow, THURSDAY 26th FEBRUARY, 1200-1400 hours at THE BAPTIST CHURCH, CROW LANE, ROCHESTER. Please feel free to share this message with anyone you think would benefit from the update.
