Police are appealing for information after items worth more than £10,000 were stolen during a burglary in Cuffley. The incident occurred at an address on Plough Hill between 6.30pm and 7.15pm on Saturday 14 February. The victim, who had gone out and left the address secure, received a notification from their property’s surveillance camera system to say movement had been detected in the back garden. When they checked the footage, they noticed that the camera had been moved. On returning home at around 7pm, they discovered that the back door had been damaged and a messy search had taken place inside the property. Several antique pieces of jewellery had been stolen, and now police are releasing images of these as part of their public appeal. Detective Constable Jessica Board, who is investigating, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the Plough Hill area between 6.30pm and 7.15pm. “In addition, if you think you have seen these items pictured for sale, please report this to police.” You can contact DC Board by email via Jessica.board@herts.police.uk.
