Junction Ward Officers make 3 arrests in one shift

Junction Ward Neighbourhood Officers put in an outstanding effort last week on Tuesday 17th February making 3 arrests of individuals in connection with different burglaries.

Initially, PCSO Wood and PCSO Ahmed spotted an individual, who is regularly involved in ASB on the Ward, who they recognised as being an outstanding suspect for an attempted burglary.  PC De Souza Goncalves and PC Miah responded to their call and immediately arrested the individual and took him to custody.

Later on in the shift PC Simpson and PCSO Sontrop were on patrol where they spotted two individuals outside Dwell House, N19 which recently has had a lot of ASB. They detained both males who were searched by PC Simpson, where he found class A drugs on both. Despite only just having got back from custody themselves, PC De Souza Goncalves and PC Miah responded quickly to assist PC Simpson and PCSO Sontrop. Checks identified that one of the individuals was wanted on a recall to return to prison and burglary and the other individual was wanted for burglary.

PC Simpson arrested one individual for recall to prison, burglary and possession of class A drugs. He arrested the other individual for burglary and possession of class A drugs. Both were conveyed to custody. Both were charged with drug offences and one of the individuals was charged with burglary.

A fantastic effort by the PCs and PCSOs in identifying and detaining prolific offenders who regularly cause ASB, leading to multiple arrests.
