Proactive patrols in Findern result in seizure of abandoned cloned vehicle |
||
|
Local people living in the charming village of Findern say they are concerned about abandoned vehicles.
At community meetings, residents and elected representatives say they value an after-dark presence in the area.
On Sunday evening, (22 February), your Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) conducted proactive after-dark patrols in the village.
Officers using a police car fitted with a specialist Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) camera on board were alerted to a suspicious abandoned vehicle parked on Doles Lane.
Inquiries were conducted and the car, suspected stolen, was discovered to be on cloned registration plates.
The car was recovered for forensic inquiries.
Further patrols in Findern, and other villages in the Mercia policing beat area, will continue - all helping to keep our community safe.
