Anti-social behaviour and off-road vehicle misuse - St Erth |
||
|
The local policing team have received reports of anti-social behaviour and vehicles being driven off-road taking place in the St Erth area. This problem has been witnessed in the vicinity of Battery Mill Lane.
Antisocial use of a vehicle, such as street racing, street cruising or off-road use is more than a matter of noise pollution – though this can be the most noticeable problem. While quad bikes, three-wheeled bikes, trail bikes and some other two-wheeled vehicles are built for off-road use, it is against the law to ride them in public parks or on publicly-owned land without permission from the local authority. Some people regard this kind of vehicle use as harmless fun. However, regular antisocial vehicle use can have a wider impact on a neighbourhood or community as it can cause damage and disturb wildlife.
The Neighbourhood Team encourage any persons who experience anti-social behaviour, and anyone with information, to report this via our website or phone 101 in a non-emergency.
Please phone 999 in an emergency. We aim to increase patrols where possible.
