Fire - Okehampton Promise School

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service continue to work throughout the night to bring the fire under control. 

There are currently road restrictions in place between Exeter Road at the Junction with Fatherford Lane and the B3260 at Belstone overbridge. The A30 remains unaffected at this time. 

Please monitor media and social media into the morning for updates on progress from DSFRS and the local authority in addition to Police channels. 

Advice remains to avoid the area of Stockley Hamlet and residents in the area to close windows. A significant strain has been placed on the water supply for Okehampton and residents are encouraged to keep water usage to a minimum where possible in the coming hours.
