Dear Residents and Local Businesses,
This is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood policing team St Michael's Team 2
✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅
The team have been on top form this week with 14 arrests!!
Plain Clothed officers in the Spon End area spotted a male they suspected of selling drugs, working with local CCTV operatives we were able to follow the movement of the individual and pin point the exact location for the team to swoop. The team secured an arrest of the male who was in possession of a large quantity of suspected class A drugs, in his company were two further males. After detaining both, it was identified that one also has a large volume of suspected class A and the third was a wanted person. A great result and the removal of a large quantity off drugs off the streets of Spon End.
After a number of reports over the week of a group of youths causing criminal damage, burglary and anti-social behaviour in the City, the team set to work on obtaining relevant CCTV in an attempt to identify those responsible. Our investigations led us to multiple positive Identifications of the youths and in addition other serious linked crimes involving this group. The team worked hard to track down the youths, arresting 3 in one swoop. Solid work has led to charges of the individuals including , Robbery, Burglary, a serious assault and shop theft.
We also tracked down a number of persons that had either fail to appear in court or were outstanding wanted persons
Drug dealing in the community is classed as a critical priority for the police as it is directly linked with violent crimes, attracts anti-social behaviour to the area and connects with the exploitation of vulnerable people, we are delighted that we have had a good level of impact this week with this removal.
