Weekly Update

Dear Resident please see below a weekly update of incidents/crimes/good outcomes in relation to the Benfieldside, Blackhill, Bridgehill and Shotley bridge area over the last week.

Weekly Update 14th February - 21st February:

 On Thursday 19th February at 1550hrs reports of an offroad bike/e-bike  were received. The driver was described as late teens/early 20’s wearing welly boots and a camo jacket. It was reported that he was doing wheelies up and down Pemberton Road. An area search was conducted by Street wardens with no trace of the bike. If anyone has sighted anything or has any information in regards to the incident or where the bike is coming from, please contact Durham Police on 101 and quote incident number DHM-19022026-0296.

 On Friday 20th February at 2024hrs it has been reported that a vehicle has been broken into, via the driver’s side doors lock, whilst parked up in the Durham Road car park. The owner was alerted to the incident by the car alarm going off. Nothing was taken from the vehicle due to no goods being kept in it. An investigation is currently underway.
