Round Up- Birchills, Leamore & Beechdale

Dear Resident -

Here is a quick round up of some of the work the team have been doing across the area.

The team have been linking in with shops on the Reedswood Retail Park, continuing work in relation to tackling ASB. In particular fires which are being set by groups of youths on the bank of the Walsall Canal. Rubbish is being taken from bins to the back of the shops in the service yards and then set alight by the canal. This has caused a number of call outs to the fire service. These actions are being investigated as arson and criminal damage.

The team have been out and about with Walsall Trading Standards in the Birchills area conducting a number of visits to shops in the area.

Community meetings have been held at Richards House, Burrowes St.

Stolen vehicle has been located and recovered in the Reedswood Gardens area.

The team have been carrying on the Community Cadets work with Croft Academy.

The team are also patrolling the area by Walsall Canal to the rear of Remington Road, Beechdale. This is in response to reports of cars speeding and racing and drug use.
