||
|
Dear Resident. What has happened? Between 6.15 & 8.30pm on the 18th of February 2026 unknown offenders climbed a fence into a rear garden of a property in Corncrake Close. They then entered a conservatory via an already broken door. From there they smashed a window to enter the main property. An untidy search was conducted, and a number of items were stolen before the offenders made good their escape. What are we doing? Officers attended, enquires were made in relation to possible CCTV, and other evidence from the scene. The officers spoke the victims and gave crime prevention advice. What can you do? Please ensure all entry points, including windows to your property are secured. Ensure rear gates are locked, and fences are in good order. Anti climbing measures for fences and gates such as Anti climbing paint, and Prickle strip can be fitted in accordance with the manufactures instructions, and use of supplied warning signs. The property that was targeted had an alarm, but it was not set. If you have an alarm please set it when going out. More crime prevention advice can be found at www.westmidlands.police.uk /crime prevention.
