Do you or a friend own an E-Bike? |

Good afternoon.
We've seen a recent increase around targeted burglaries, specifically for E-bikes. Due to the cost of these bikes, the speed in which they can go and the light weight of them, they are desirable for criminals.
Please look into investing into some extra security for your bikes. Even when they're locked in the garage, they will still attempt to gain access and remove these items.
Look into aftermarket trackers that are small and will fit somewhere on the bike that is hidden and cannot be removed easily. This increases the chances of your bike been recovered if it was to be stolen.
Remove the battery when not in use. Use a good standard of lock or padlock that is secure by design accredited. Make sure the building that houses the E-bikes is alarmed on points of entry. Noise is one of the best deterrents.
Where possible, please try to have some CCTV surveillance where the bike is kept. This can be a plug in camera in your garage or even a battery powered one that will catch footage if access it to be gained to where the bike is kept.
If you would like more specific advice that will be better suited to you, please reply to this message and I will reply at the earliest convenience.
Thank you and have a lovely weekend. | ||
