Theft from motor vehicles – Stanley Street

Dear Resident,

In the early hours of Thursday 19th February, two vehicles were targeted on Stanley Street, Eastmoor. One of the vehicles was a Peugeot Expert van and the other was a Toyota Auris, both had windows smashed to gain entry. A male was disturbed and made off from the area on foot.

If you have CCTV or doorbell cameras, please check the recordings and if you notice anyone suspicious between midnight and 5am yesterday morning, or if you have any information regarding these incidents, please contact us.

Please remember to remove all your valuables, however small, from view or place them in the boot when leaving your vehicles. Always double check that you have locked your vehicle by trying the door handle.

Vehicles with unfolded electric wing mirrors could indicate that it has been left unlocked. Car thieves are known to look out for vehicles with wing mirrors sticking out.

Offences can take place anywhere, in a car park, at the side of the road or on your driveway.
