👮‍♂️ Over Hulton & Middle Hulton – Weekly Update

Good evening everyone,

As your local neighbourhood policing team, we wanted to share an update on what we’ve been doing across Over Hulton and Middle Hulton this week. Over the last four days we’ve been working late shifts, giving us more time to patrol the areas you've highlighted and engage directly with the community.

🗣️ Community Engagement – Monday 17th February

PC Morris, PS Cooper, PCSO Harrison and PCSO Ratcliffe attended a community meeting at the Salvation Army on Georgina Street.
Residents shared concerns about local issues, and officers discussed ongoing work to address them.

After the meeting, officers patrolled the surrounding area. A vehicle was located on Bella Street with two males inside. Following engagement, both were detained for a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act stop search.
Two small bags of cannabis were found, and the owner received a Community Resolution – a formal warning which will appear on an enhanced DBS check.

🚔 Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Tuesday 18th February

While patrolling, PC Morris and PC Chadwick located a suspicious vehicle parked in a back alley.
A check confirmed it was an outstanding stolen vehicle. The driver made off when they saw officers.
A short area search located the vehicle abandoned. It has been recovered and enquiries continue.

🚗 No Insurance? No Excuse

Later the same evening, officers on Gilnow Lane spotted a vehicle revving its engine.
A PNC check showed no insurance.
The vehicle was seized, and the driver reported for the offence.

📍 Another Stolen Vehicle Found – Wednesday 19th February

While patrolling the Sutton Estate, PCs Morris and Chadwick spotted another suspicious vehicle.
A PNC check again confirmed it was an outstanding stolen vehicle.
It was recovered, and enquiries remain ongoing.

🚨 Anti‑Social Driving – Thursday 19th February

On Thursday, PCs Morris and Chadwick were out once again patrolling your local area.
While on the Cutacre Industrial Estate, they witnessed a vehicle being driven in an anti‑social manner.

The driver was stopped and issued a Section 59 warning.
This means that if the driver or vehicle is seen driving in this manner again, police have the power to seize the vehicle on the spot.

Officers also patrolled Morris Green Lane and Longfield Road, providing reassurance and visibility in key areas.

🔍 Stop Searches in Priority Areas – 15 People Searched

Throughout these shifts, officers conducted 15 stop searches under:

All searches were negative; however, they were carried out in locations you have identified as priority areas.
We will continue to patrol these areas and take positive action to address your concerns.
