Theft of motor vehicle

Dear resident

There was a theft of motor vehicle between the evening of 17/02/26 and early morning of 18/02/26 from the Brook avenue area of Uppermill.  The vehicle was taken by unknown means without the use of a key.

If you own a keyless entry vehicle please consider putting your fob in Faraday pouch or container that blocks the signal from reaching other devices, this includes your spare fobs that are sometimes overlooked and simply left in a draw.

Other considerations could be a professionally fitted alarm, tracking device or full steering lock to deter or prevent thieves taking your vehicle.

Please be extra vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Police.
