Burglaries Reported from Charlestown addresses

PC Lee has been responding to Burglary reports in the Charlestown area. The officer offered crime prevention leaflets to residents that advised how to protect your home from Burglars. Advice included –

• Check Windows and doors are locked, even when you are at home

• Considering timer switches so your home looks occupied when out

• Have doorbell cameras and CCTV Installed

• Checking CCTV and doorbell cameras are working and correctly positioned

• Considering motion sensor lighting outside your home

• Have an alarm installed

• Storing valuables out of sight

• Keeping car keys/house keys away from doors and windows

• Looking out for your neighbours and report suspicious activity
