The Wantage & Grove Neighbourhood Policing Team (NHPT) has secured another Closure Order in our area.

But do you know what a Closure Order actually entails❓
When we identify that someone is vulnerable, being exploited, or that significant issues are affecting the wider community, we gather the necessary evidence and seek authorisation from an Inspector to implement a 24-hour closure notice. 🚨📝

This immediate action gives us time to present the evidence before the Magistrates’ Court and apply for a 3‑month Closure Order. ⚖️📄

If granted, the order provides a crucial window for agencies, police, and the occupant to work together over three months to make positive changes, prevent further issues, and safeguard those involved. 🤝💙

Today, we did exactly that. After several hours in court, we successfully obtained a Closure Order to protect a vulnerable occupant from being targeted. 🛡️🏠

This is a great example of partnership working, proactive policing, and our commitment to keeping the community safe. 🌟👮‍♂️👮‍♀️
