Longford Updates

Dear Residents & Businesses,

Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with: 

PATROLS 

Officers have been carrying out patrols of the Longford areas on foot and in vehicles. We have been paying particular attention to locations that have recently experienced an increase in crime and anti-social behaviour, and our local green spaces. We have also been conducting plain clothes operations in local areas experiencing high levels of shoplifting. 

ARRESTS

This week, the team have arrested a 46 year old male for shoplifting at Arena Retail Park after committing 15 offences. We have conducted a warrant at his home address to search for specific items in connection with these offences. He has been charged with all offences and remanded to Court. 

VEHICLE CRIME & BURGLARY

We have had no reports of any burglaries or vehicle thefts in the Longford area this week. However, we have had one e-scooter stolen from outside of Pure Gym at the Arena Retail Park. One male was charged with this offence.
