As Ramadan begins tonight, we want to wish everyone in Rochdale a peaceful and blessed month. Ramadan is a time of fasting, prayer and reflection, and many families will be taking part.

As part of Op Ramadan, you’ll see local officers out and about a little more in the evenings. This is simply to offer reassurance, support busy prayer times and keep our neighbourhoods safe and welcoming for everyone. National policing guidance encourages positive engagement with Muslim communities during Ramadan, including visible neighbourhood policing and understanding the significance of the month.
