Local Priorities Mobile phone theft Message

I wanted to provide an update regarding Mobile phone theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Mobile Phone Theft: On Tuesday 19th Feb, Waterloo & South Bank carried out an engagement at King's College, Stamford Street. This was an opportunity to meet staff and students, providing them with crime prevention advise and in particular how best to prevent being a victim of phone theft.

In addition, plain cloths officers were patrolling the Waterloo/Southbank area on the look out for phone snatchers as part of an operation to crack down on this crime. These tactics will be ongoing as part of our SNT commitment to local issues.
