Appeal for witnesses following an assault and possession of a firearm – Banbury

We are appealing for witnesses following an assault and a possession of a firearm in Banbury. 

At around 7.30pm on Tuesday 10 February, the victim, a boy in his late teens, was walking in Princess Diana Park when he was assaulted and then threatened with a firearm. 

The victim did not sustain injuries.  

A 17-year-old boy from Banbury has been arrested on suspicion of assault without injury and has been released on bail until 1 May 2026. 

The second offender is described as a white boy aged in his mid-teens with short blonde hair. He was wearing a black tracksuit, a black cross body bag and a black balaclava at the time of the offence. 

We are also appealing to the male and three females who were present and witnessed the assault as we believe they may have information to assist with our investigation.
