Safeguarding of a Vulnerable Person |
||
|
Chelsea Safer Neighbourhood Officers attended an address on the Worlds End Estate to carry out an impromptu Welfare Check on a vulnerable person. It was only through concerned neighbours raising the alarm that Officers were directed to the address and could then put necessary Safeguarding on the Vulnerable Person. Please keep an eye on your neighbours and do raise concerns if you think they may be in a vulnerable situation. Together we can tackle vulnerability and loneliness by getting assistance where needed. Policing has a crucial role to play in the identification, support and safeguarding of adults who are at risk of harm. Perpetrators will target those with specific vulnerabilities, for example, mental ill health, substance misuse, isolation, to commit or assist in the commission of their crimes, as they know they will be easier to groom, manipulate and threaten, and as victims they are less likely to report their experience for many reasons.
