Arrest following collision

Police received a report of a van that had collided with another vehicle on the A50 but had failed to stop. 

The vehicle was approaching the Melbourne area, where PC Alex Boniface located and stopped it with assistance from our RPU colleagues on Packhorse Road.

The driver and vehicle were subject to a stop search, and suspected cannabis and ketamine were located.  A drug swipe was conducted - which the driver failed.

The driver was arrested for:-

Fail to stop at an RTC/Possession of a controlled substance x2/Drug driving
