CLEARANCE OF ENCAMPMENT IN WHITTINGTON ESTATE, N19

Dear Whittington Estate/Highgate Residents,

I would like to share some good news with you,

We recently had reports and concerns from Whittington Estate residents about an Encampment in the estate which has been leading to anti social behaviour and causing nuisance.

We have worked closely with Camden council's encampment coordinator and the manager for the estate to get authorisation and schedule a joint day of action for the clearance. I would also like to thank the Community safety enforcement officers who have engaged with residents and people from the encampment site to mediate the risks and provide us with updates.

Today we have assisted the partner agencies to keep the peace during the clearing and securing of the site,

I have attached a before and after of this site, please note there is still some work that has to be done in regards to the cleaning but this is a big step going forward,
