Today, between the hours of 09:30 - 10:30hrs I conducted Speed Watch duties in the area of Canterbury Road, Lydden. During this time, I observed and recorded a total of 104 passing vehicles entering the village, with 15 of those being driven in excess of the speed limit (equating to approx. 14.4% of all vehicles entering that area). Sadly many of the speeding vehicles were observed being driven up to speeds of 50mph (nearly 66% above the village speed limit). We are dedicated to ensure Lydden remains a safe place to live, work and visit. |
