Hello Resident
…Wow!…This is to announce we have recently clocked up just over 3,000 registered Neighbourhood Watch schemes.
This is excellent news and it says a lot about the long-term dedication and brilliance of our Membership Support Administrators across the different regions of the expansive Thames Valley Police Force Areas. And of course a big thank you to the 3,000 volunteer Watch Coordinators, whether they have been running a scheme for several decades or who only started in the last few months: dedicated to helping create safer and stronger communities for the benefit of themselves, their families, local businesses and their neighbourhoods.
It is also evidence of the growing need by members of the public to take the lead in establishing a Neighbourhood Watch scheme: the first step to a safer community. To be honest, it isn't a lot of work nowadays: much of it is online and neatly links with the all-important Police Alert messages. We also have FREE starter-packs including membership leaflets and street-signs, through valuable funding support from the Thames Valley Police & Crime Commissioner. Please see the Press Release attached.
If you are interested in starting a Neighbourhood Watch in your local area, then please follow these simple steps to help get you started. Go to www.ourwatch.org.uk OR https://www.thamesvalleyalert.co.uk/ whichever website you used to initially sign up to Alerts and Neighbourhood Watch. First use the postcode search under the header Find my local NW tab, and if a local scheme click to join. If no local scheme then apply to start your own and our expert volunteers will get in touch.
You will be in good company with over 3,000 schemes!
kind regards
Thames Valley Neighbourhood Watch Association & Central Support Team | ||
