Traffic Operations

Your Neighbourhood officers have been acting on issues raised in the PACT meeting. Members of the community raised the issues of dangerous driving throughout Newton Heath/ Miles Platting/ Clayton/ Openshaw/ Ancoats & Beswick. The neighbourhood team took action to target anti-social driving and speeders in the area. The operation resulted in

Stop searches – 5

Ticket – 1 for driving not wearing a seatbelt

S.165 seizure, vehicle seized for having no tax and no insurance – 1 

Arrests – 1

Operations will continue to sporadically happen throughout our neighbourhoods to ensure the roads are safer for the community.
