Another busy week and a late finish on my last day, unfortunately meaning no Neighbourhood Matter message was sent. I am back on duty and starting with a message to make up for it. I have been on foot patrol covering as much of the patch as I can. Including Burlish Top, looking for off road bikers, and I even had a little walk through Bewdley Hill Wood. It is always nice to see people as I patrol. This has been mixed in with attending crimes and supporting victims who live around our patch. I have also arrested two people and taken more drugs off the street
This is an ongoing investigation. I will endeavour to keep the streets of Oldington, Foley and Sutton Park safe and drug free for all residence. Report any suspicious activity in your area.
On one of my patrols around Brintons Park I was met by a male concerned about German Shepards being loose. If you see anything of concern please call police, if you want to pass information around this type of behaviour then please message us by replying. The male also voiced concerns around Drug taking and ASB in the park.
With valentines weekend just gone please be aware of online safety and sharing of information and images with people you don’t know. Safe online dating - Get Safe Online
You said we did Groups of youths and drug taking in Brintons Park around 16:00 to 17:00 hours daily Among other visits. The day I was told (5/2) I have then attended between these times, nothing was seen but it was raining. Another check was done (8/2) where the park was checked and no youths seen. We will continue to check the park when possible around these times.
Fun fact for the day Bees can recognize human faces. Fact about 16 February The very first 9-1-1 emergency call in history was made on February 16, 1968, in Haleyville, Alabama. Whereas in the UK: The first ever 999 call in the UK was made in July 1937, shortly after the service launched in London on 30 June 1937. The first calls with details known was on 8 July 1937, made by Mrs Beard of Hampstead, reporting a burglary. Great news the suspect was caught.
