Mountsorrel Weekly Policing Update: Burglary This week we have received one report of an attempted burglary, where it appears someone has tried a door handle. Thankfully, there was no entry gained. As always, please continue to secure your homes, use window and door locks, and report any suspicious activity to us. High‑Visibility Patrols Our high‑visibility patrols continue around Mountsorrel, particularly in areas affected by recent reports. Police carry out these patrols because they: Deter offenders by increasing the chance of being seen or caught.Reassure the community and provide a visible presence for anyone who needs support.Gather intelligence by speaking with residents and spotting suspicious behaviour.Respond quickly if an incident does occur while officers are already in the area. If you see us out and about, please feel free to stop and speak with the team.🚗 Speeding There have been no speed checks conducted this week. However, further checks are already planned, and we will continue to target areas where concerns have been raised by residents. 🏍️ Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) We’ve had one report of an off‑road motorbike riding around the Castle Hill area. At present this appears to be an isolated incident. If you witness similar behaviour, please report it via 101, and if possible, provide a vehicle registration.
