Joint Operation with Immigration

Good evening Resident, 

At our ward panel, coffee with a copper meetings and other community events, we often hear the frustrations that you experience with food delivery riders not obeying road traffic legislation.  We sometimes find that some of these riders do not have the correct licence, insurance policy or the bikes used aren't legal for UK roads.  

This evening, we took part in a joint operation with immigration concentrating on these riders.  We made a number of stops which resulted in immigration arresting 4 individuals.  

Our joint approach will not only send out a strong message that riding without the correct documentation will be dealt with robustly, but also that working without the correct visa or immigration status will result in an arrest.  

We will continue to concentrate on these matters along with the other ward priorities that have been set at the ward panel meeting.
