Prolific shoplifter remanded in custody

Local police officers working on Operation Borgio (an operation targeting prolific shoplifters) arrested a 32 year old male for thirteen offences of shoplifting on Sunday the 8th February 2026, the defendant had repeatedly targeted several local businesses and in total stole over £1800 worth of goods.

The defendant plead guilty at Westminster Magistrates Court on Monday the 9th February and he is currently remanded in custody awaiting sentencing that will take place in the beginning of March.
