Appeal following burglary in Hitchin

Police are appealing for information, CCTV and witnesses following a burglary in Hitchin. 

It happened in Whitehill Road at around 8.30pm on Saturday 7 February.

Two males gained access to a home via the rear of the property. They conducted a search of the home before leaving. Nothing was stolen.

Investigating officer Fran Aylin said: “The occupant was at home whilst this burglary took place, which was of course could have been very frightening. I am appealing for witnesses who may have seen two males acting suspiciously between 8pm and 9.30pm on Whitehill Road. I would also like to ask local residents to check their CCTV in case it has captured something helpful.

“If you have any information that may support our investigation, please report this to police.”
