Good afternoon everybody,
My name is PC Johnstone and I have recently been appointed as the neighbourhood ward officer for Rossmere. Although I am currently on “light duties” due to injury, I want to get a feel for the area, the people within and the type of issues you as the residents of the Rossmere area experience on a regular basis. I am hoping to be back on full duties within the coming weeks, and wish to get ahead of the game so-to-speak, meaning that when I am back I can take quick action to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
If I could ask you to take a moment to reply to me privately, informing me personally of the issues you face routinely and how this is effecting your life. Please rest assured that I will take each message seriously and will look to help in anyway possible. Please provide as much detail as possible, for example, if you are reporting drug dealing please provide names and addresses where these are known. Please also provide your details including name, DOB, home address and phone number - this information will be kept completely confidential so don't worry about other people seeing you message/details.
I understand that some of you may have reported these issues in the past, and some may even feel that reporting these issues again is a waste of time if you have not seen appropriate police action since the time you last reported this. For this, I am genuinely apologetic and wish to improve your confidence in the police service, by taking drastic action off the back of what you report to me as your ward officer.
I really want to make a difference to the community we are part of. With the information people provide me I will look to prioritise issues that are being reported by multiple people. With your help I feel I can make a huge difference, and the more information you provide me with the more likely it is that I will be able to reduce criminality and anti-social behaviour.
In the coming weeks I will also be out on foot within the area, as well as attending community meetings, so please feel free to approach me and say hello!
Many thanks,
PC Isaac Johnstone | ||
