Protecting your vehicle |

Overnight there have been two incidents whereby it was believed vehicles were going to be stolen from outside homes in Crayford. Each time the suspects were challenged and went away, leaving vehicles with some damage. It seems apparent now that the suspects were looking to steal the catalytic converter. Their vehicle of choice for each attempt was a Toyota Prius. This sort of crime can happen anywhere, busy streets, car parks. There are precious metals within a catalytic converter which makes them attractive to thieves. At this time the price for these metals is rising. Please consider the following ways to make it harder for them to steal yours: If you see anything suspicious, please call 999 immediately.
