The Aston and Newtown areas of Birmingham are currently experiencing a Spike in vehicle crimes. Steps to prevent yourself from becoming a victim.
Steering Wheel Lock Consider using Solid and Secure tested and approved steering lock

Vehicle Tracking Some vehicles are fitted with tracking as standard, but you can install an approved aftermarket vehicle tracker. search Thatcam website for independently tested products.
Alarm and Immobiliser If you don't have an alarm, explore what aftermarket, security products are available.
Manufacturers Advice Check with your main dealer that regardless of the age of your vehicle - it has had all its recalls completed and software updated and firmware updated. Ask your main car dealer what the latest security measures are and whether they can be retro fitted to older vehicles.
Always park in well lit areas and Car Parks. Don't leave items such as Sat Navs, Mobile Phones or Presents on show.
