Trentham and Hanford - Arrest made today and Community updates

Please find at the bottom of this e-mail the locations, dates and times of Police Street Surgeries that are taking place over the next few days.

Arrest made

At approximately 06:00am today (12/02/26) officers responded to a report of three males acting suspiciously around vehicles and driveway(s) in the Hanford area. Following attending the area, three adult males were detained with one being arrested for ‘going equipped’ and being in possession of a bladed article in a public place.

The males are said to have walked from Cow Lane onto Wilson Road (by Chatsworth Park Avenue), and have been in and around Queen Mary Road, Sandringham Crescent, Kings Road and Westminster Place.

We are not aware at this time of any property being damaged or taken.

Patrols today.

Today I have attended a number of locations where residents have asked to be patrolled.

These have included…

The Canal

The path at the rear of Caspian Grove - which leads to the canal

The woodland that is in close proximity to Oaktree Rd

I also attended Burrington Dr and Edward Ave to look into parking concerns at these locations

I am happy to report that I encountered no issues at any of the locations that I attended today. These patrols will continue and I will attend as frequently as I can.

With regards to the canal, I am aware of issues involving cyclists going too fast as well as concerns regarding e-bikes, e-scooters and off-road motorbikes. I am keeping a very close eye on these issues and will do my address these concerns.

Reports to the Council

I came across this shopping trolley on Earls Rd - I reported it to the Council and I have received an update that it has been removed.

School patrols

I was present today on The Lea for the end of the school day at Ash Green Academy -I will do my best to be outside one of our schools tomorrow (13/02/26).
