Witness and dash cam appeal after serious collision on A505

Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage after a serious collision on the A505 in Hitchin.

At 5.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 11 February), a silver Ford Kuga was travelling from Luton towards Hitchin when it was involved in a collision with a grey BMW 320I at the junction with Carters Lane.

The driver of the Ford, a man aged in his 60s was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The passenger, a woman aged in her 50s, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

PC Jason Appleby, from the Roads Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and we are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.
