Excellent Joint Work by Neighbourhoods and Response Team Officers – Robbery Suspects Quickly Identified and Arrested

Dear Valley Ward Members,

Safer Neigbourhood and emergency response officers responded to a knifepoint robbery outside Chingford Foundation School. The victim was threatened with a knife and forced to hand over his mobile phone and designer coat.

Shortly afterwards, the victim’s mother recognised two males matching the suspects’ description inside a Chicken Shop on Station Road, E4, and immediately notified police. As officers arrived, one suspect attempted to flee the shop but was swiftly detained by an officer from Response Team. Meanwhile SNT officer entered the Chicken Shop and detained two further males.

Searches were conducted locating the victim’s stolen coat and mobile phone in possession of the suspects. This incident highlights excellent cross‑team cooperation, with both Neighbourhoods and Response Team officers acting swiftly and decisively.

Their prompt actions led directly to the rapid identification and arrest of two robbery suspects, ensuring community safety and delivering justice for the victim.
