Theft of Property from Cars / Vans over night

Good Afternoon Heston East Residents,

We wish to let you know about a number of Incidents in the Heston Area where cars and Vans have been a Target of people attempting to get into them and steal from them although the items that are stolen from the cars  are minor in value and spare change in coins these cars are being highlighted due to people leaving things on show or not checking if they have locked their cars before leaving them. The theft from Vans is for Work Tools that are left over night in Work Vans and they are not secured or the Tools are not Marked up so cannot be traced. We believe the most important thing to do is to take photographs of any tools you buy and write down serial Numbers of them so they can be returned to you if found to be stolen. If you see anything that you are unsure of or you think is out of place please let us know so we can investigate it and send resources if required.
