Operation Classify

Good morning everyone.

On 11/02/2026, Rumworth Neighbourhood officers were out and about in the community carrying out a traffic operation in the Rumworth area. Our aim was to engage with local drivers, offer reassurance, and ensure everyone on our roads is staying safe.

During the checks, officers stopped several vehicles to chat with motorists, provide advice, and complete routine document inspections. As part of this work, a vehicle was found being driven by someone on a provisional licence without meeting the legal requirements. To keep all road users safe, the vehicle was seized and the driver has been reported for summons.
