Dear NHM User, On Monday 9th February at approximately 3pm one of the Rural North Safer Neighbourhood PCSO’s witnessed a vehicle being driven on Station Road, Weston Rhyn which had recently been identified as being used without complying with the requirements for its use on the road. The vehicle stopped and parked by the driver further along Station Road with them remaining sat inside.
The PCSO has approached the vehicle, engaged with the driver and completed information checks on the vehicle and its driver.
It was confirmed that the vehicle was being used without Insurance or Road Tax, and the driver was also found to have an expired driver’s licence. The PCSO was assisted by a Police officer from the Oswestry E Response Team along with the Rural North SNT Police Officer.
As a result of the offences discovered the vehicle was seized and removed from the roads and the driver of the vehicle was reported for prosecution for the offences of driving with no insurance and driving without a valid driver’s licence.
The Safer Neighbourhoods Team, local Response Policing Teams and West Mercia Police on a whole are committed to making our roads a safer place and taking appropriate action against persons and vehicles not complying with the laws of the road.
Drive Safe, Arrive Safe and Keep our Roads Safe. Thank you.
