Cannabis Farm - Thorne

Officers have uncovered a cannabis farm in Thorne town centre.

Whilst this discovery may come as a surprise, the reality is serious. Cannabis cultivation is often linked to organised crime, exploitation and significant risks to public safety.

Due to dangerous and illegal electrical altercations at the property, the fire service and Northern Power were required to attend. The unsafe wiring almost resulted in a fire, placing neighbouring properties and members of the public at risk.

Enquiries are on-going.

We are asking for the communities help to report any information or concerns about other buildings that may be being used to grow cannabis.
