We’re appealing for witnesses after two reported collisions between the driver of two vehicles and several pedestrians in Addlestone between 8.30pm and 9pm on Wednesday, 4 February. Officers were called to Garfield Road following a report that the driver of a black BMW had mounted the pavement and driven in the direction of a group of pedestrians. Around 20 minutes later, a similar incident is reported on Station Road involving a dark grey BMW, after which two men exited the vehicle to threaten three different teenagers and assaulted one of them. CCTV footage later shows the driver of a black BMW leaving the area and driving in an erratic manner in the direction of Station Road towards the High Street. The six pedestrians involved, aged between 13 and 16, did not require hospital treatment at the time for their injuries. A 36-year-old woman from Addlestone, a 42-year-old man from Wandsworth and a 41-year-old man from Wandsworth have been arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent. All three have been released on police bail. Detective Inspector Simmonds, from our Criminal Investigations Department, said: “This is a distressing incident and we’re working at pace to establish the full circumstances of what has happened. We’re working closely with the families of these teenagers and the local schools to provide support and updates as our investigation progresses. “We have arrested three people in connection with our investigation and extensive enquiries continue. At this stage, we believe the suspects from last Wednesday’s attack were known to the pedestrians who were injured. “We are particularly looking to track the movements of the vehicles involved in this incident.” If you have any information that might assist our investigation, including any dashcam footage from the Addlestone area between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on Wednesday, 4 February, please get in touch quoting PR/45260013741. If you would rather not speak to police or to prefer to give information anonymously, you can contact independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or completing their online form.
