Dear Resident,
On Tuesday evening, around 150 representatives from partner agencies, charities, faith groups, and local residents came together at an event organised by Redeeming Our Communities (ROC) that focused on how we could work together to improve the Millfield and New England area.
The event was attended by ACC John Massey, Superintendent Ben Martin and Superintendent Paul Rogerson.
During the event we were able to celebrate what is already happening within the community and highlight different initiatives, such as:
We heard talks from a range of people from: During these short interviews, they spoke about the work the organisation does, and what they can do to assist others, whether that be through funding, training, or by donating supplies.
It was an inspiring couple of hours of meeting everyone and starting to devise plans on how we can improve the area.
You can read more about the work ROC do here.
This event is part of our ongoing Alliance campaign, which is a community-focussed campaign in Millfield around tackling criminality to make it an all-round better place for the community. If you wish to find out more, then visit our website.
