Use trusted traders - not dodgy doorstep chancers

Bogus traders often turn up unannounced, sometimes dropping leaflets first to look legitimate. They’ll offer roofing, gardening, driveway or handyperson work that’s unnecessary, overpriced or done to a poor standard.

Don’t do business on the doorstep, instead, choose a recommended and trusted trader.

Report bogus traders to the police online or by calling 101.
